Kendell Williams Shines at National Event

The Kell sophomore is chasing national exposure and the class record as Williams continues Friday.

track star Kendell Williams shined at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, N.C. on Thursday.

With a time of 13.96, Williams won the 100-meter hurdles portion of the heptathlon.

Williams also won the 200-meter dash portion of the heptathlon with a time of 25.00, the high jump with a leap of 1.81 meters, and finished ninth in the shot put with a throw of 8.78 meters.

Williams just finished her sophomore year at Kell and won Class-AAAA state championship titles in the high jump, the 100-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles.

The New Balance Outdoor Nationals features talent from across the country, including athletes who have posted the best times in the country this year, according to ESPN Rise.
