Lassiter Falls in Semifinals

The hosted Collins Hill on Wednesday with the winner headed to the GHSA 5A State Soccer Tournament championship.

The teams played through a scoreless first half, and spent much time in the second half jockeying for the first goal of the game. With 18 minutes to go, Collins Hill struck gold with an Eli Carrasco goal to put Lassiter behind by one.

Fourteen minutes later, Amiri Abraham gave Collins Hill a two-goal lead when he scored to give his team insurance.

With just a minute to play, Lassiter's Shaban Abousaud scored the Trojan's only goal of the game.

Collins Hill will play Walton in the state finals on Saturday.
