Lassiter High School Open House on Thursday

will be hosting an open house on Thursday, Aug. 30 from 6 to 9 p.m., according to the school calendar.

Starting at 6:30 p.m., the Lassiter High School PTSA will be holding a meeting in the school gym to discuss how the year has gone so far. Principal Dr. Richie wil give a state of the school report, and the PTSA will approve their budget for this year.

The remainder of the open house will allow parents to meet with their childrens' teachers, explore their classrooms, and get a feel for life in a modern high school setting from 7 to 9 p.m.

Parents will start in their childrens' advisement (or homeroom) class, and be given a copy of their students' schedule. Parents will then be dismssed to their next class, following the routine of their student and learning more about what they go through every day at school.

Additionally, companies such as American Family Insurance and 123 College Atlanta will be attending the open house to give out useful information about safe driving and college prep planning.
