Lassiter Star Signs with Villanova

Colton Bryant is expected to make an immediate impact playing soccer at the Big East university.

Former defender Colton Bryant has signed on with Villanova to play college soccer for the Wildcats next season, according to the Villanova sports information department.

Not only did Bryant play at Lassiter, but he excelled on the Concorde Fire U18 Development Academy, his club team. At Lassiter he was awarded the position of team captain and was selected to the Cobb County all-star team.

"Colton is a tough, physical, athletic center back that will add to our depth at that position," said Villanova head coach Tom Carlin. "We were very impressed with Colton in his time spent with the Concorde Fire Elite US Soccer Developmental Academy Team. He has all of the intangibles that we look for in that position at Villanova. We knew immediately when Colton came up to campus that he was Wildcat material."
