MINECRAFT - Mathematics Grades 3-5 at Kids4Coding | Course Starts Sept 17th!

Adventures in Math with MinecraftEDU | Grades 3-5

In this course students will explore various mathematical concepts as they engage in the creative setting of Minecraft. It is centered on research & understanding, working and presenting. Students will learn how to apply algebraic and geometric concepts to analyze their unique creations. During the working phase students build structures in Minecraft to demonstrate their understanding of mathematical principals such as: ratios, integers, quadrants, area, volume and more. Each course will have a unique project-based theme.

Mitch Brotherton is an Instructional Technology Specialist and Mathematics teacher in Forsyth County. He has been featured on 11 Alive News for his work with using Minecraft in the classroom. He was featured at the Georgia Educator’s Technology Convention during July 2014.
