This shortened version is a perfect opportunity to experience Shakespeare on a smaller scale. This play is a clever comedy of witty verbal combat plus a timeless love story all rolled into one play. Romances are born, tricks are played, and even stubborn rivals find their wit is no match against each other in this farce of linguistic misunderstandings. It’s a battle of the sexes, a fencing match of verbal sparring and quickness of repartee. Much Ado About Nothing is the ultimate display of Shakespeare’s capacity to make extreme ado about genuine nothing.
Performances at Pope High School are Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18 at 7:00pm.
