Printz Picks a New School

The Lassiter quarterback has now decided on a scholarship offer to play in the SEC.

After first pledging his commitment to play at SMU, and then to UCLA, Lassiter High School quarterback Eddie Printz has found a third option in his quest for a college football scholarship.

While the Trojans enjoyed an off-week on Friday, Printz made the trek to Columbia, Mo., where he watched Missouri, in its first year in the SEC, lose to No. 1 Alabama.

During his visit, he announced he would accept a scholarship offer from the University of Missouri and sign in February.

Printz, who has led No. 2-ranked Lassiter with nearly 1,500 yards passing and 13 touchdowns as a senior, was forced to renew his recruiting process when UCLA, coached by former Atlanta Falcons coach Jim Mora, withdrew a previous scholarship offer.

β€œWhen his recruitment opened up again, the clock said 10:18 p.m.,” Printz' father, Ed Printz, told The Marietta Daily Journal. "Missouri called at 10:25 p.m. and told him they still wanted him.”
