• New proposed development 'The Lux' slated for Watkinsville (oconeeenterprise.com) — A long-blighted motel on South Main Street in Watkinsville is slated to become "The Lux," a boutique-style hotel serving visitors to the city's restaurants, shops, weddings, and sporting events. Resident Matt Tingle told the Watkinsville City Council he hopes to finish planning by year's end and complete construction by late 2027, transforming a key gateway into town.
