New Senior Housing Project Coming to Lake Oconee Area

Todd Ciavola, managing director of Vola Group, in cooperation with Alan Wells of Eventus Strategic Partners and Bill Foley of Foley Design, is pleased to announce a new Lake Oconee senior housing community called Turnberry Court.

The Scottish golf-themed project is conceptually designed to contain 120 luxurious independent living residences, inviting assisted living apartments and memory care specialty units.  The proposed low density, master planned community will feature lush open spaces, beautiful architecture and a central location near the new St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital, Lake Oconee Village and Reynolds Plantation. 

Turnberry Court will meet a growing need in the area for supportive senior housing serving residents age 60 and above.

"This project offers a much-needed option," says Ciavola.  "It gives the area's growing senior population an opportunity to downsize their homes, eliminate the burden of home ownership and have an array of services available to them, including wellness programming, dining and housekeeping services.  As their needs increase, support for activities of daily living and medical care will be provided through the adjacent assisted living and memory care facilites."

Ciavola says Turnberry Court will not only fill the needs of seniors living in the Lake Oconee area, but also provide an option for area residents who are managing the care of their own parents. 

"Oftentimes, adult children want their parents to live closer to them, but are unable to provide the specialized care their parents need on a daily basis," says Ciavola.  "Turnberry Court will provide the assistance that allows mom and dad to have the independence they desire, while still being a regular part of their children's lives."

Turnberry Court is being co-developed by Vola Group, Eventus Strategic Partners and Foley Design Associates.  Eventus offers proven expertise in senior living development derived from three decades of planning, underwriting and constructing superior senior housing communities.  Foley Design Associates has designed multiple award-winning senior housing developments, including Peachtree Hills Place in Atlanta, Park Springs in Stone Mountain and Marshes of Skidaway on Skidaway Island, Georgia.  Vola Group, LLC is a development, managment and advisory firm let by Todd Ciavola, a 25-year commercial real estate veteran.  Ciavola was responsible for the pre-developmennt of the Village Retreat Continuing Care Retirement Community, the development of Lake Oconee Village and bringing Del Web to Lake Oconee.
