Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Saturday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • On the anniversary of the first report of a case of COVID-19 in Oconee County, seven new cases were added, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases dropped to 11.3.
  • Clarke County added eight cases, and its rolling average decreased to 11.4.
  • The 10-county Northeast Health District added 57 cases, and the seven-day rolling average dropped to 82.1.
  • The Northeast Health District added two confirmed deaths, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths increased slightly to 2.4.
  • Malcom Bridge Middle School reported an additional positive tests for COVID-19 at the school, the eighth since March 13.
  • The reconstructed timeline, based on Department of Public Health historical files, shows that the onset of the first documented case of COVID-19 in Oconee County was Feb. 1, 2020.
