Athens Academy Presents Community Night

Come hear how to engage young people in critical conversations about race, class, gender, and social justice.

Athens Academy is pleased to host speakers Martha Caldwell and Oman Frame for “An Evening in Community,” on Wednesday, April 1, at 5:30 p.m. in the Harrison Center Performance Hall.

Martha and Oman will discuss social/emotional development, authentic inquiry, and personal awareness—specifically, awareness of the differences each person brings to the group, whether the “group” is a school, a neighborhood, a workplace, or even a family. Martha and Oman will also share ways to engage young people in critical conversations about race, class, gender, and social justice. We are pleased to open this event up to anyone in the Athens community.

For more information, please contact Brian Olson, Athens Academy’s Service and Leadership Chair, at 706-549-9225 or by email at bolson@athensacademy.org.
