The bakery goods at live up to their names and are indeed “the bee’s knees” --the ultimate, the height of excellence. Take one bite of a Bee’s Knees cake and you will know the truth in the bakery’s slogan: “We make it homemade so you don’t have to!”

All the cakes there are made from scratch and the menu allows you to let your inner baker out and choose your cake and the icing that you wish to envelop it. Cake choices include chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, carrot, red velvet, hummingbird, Italian cream, chocolate Italian cream and German chocolate. Icing flavors are just as plentiful and include vanilla buttercream, chocolate buttercream, coconut/ pecan, peanut butter, mocha, cream cheese and more.

The Bee’s Knees birthday, custom and wedding cakes are artistic wonders. Brownies, bars, cupcakes and mini birthday cakes are available daily in the display case.

If you are trying not to exercise your sweet tooth, try one of the bakery’s tasty sandwiches. Choose from meatloaf, egg salad, pb&j, tuna salad, chicken salad, turkey and ham. Or, order a box lunch combo, complete with chips, a drink and a slice of cake.
