The Boathouse Marina on Lake Oconee re-opens for 2016 lake season
Marina and restaurant open to the public.
Greensboro, Ga. – Now in its third year of operation, The Boathouse marina at Harbor Club has reopened for the 2016 lake season. The sparkling multi-purpose amenity is situated on the former site of the vintage old Granite Shoals Marina and is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm.
The Boathouse is open to the public and features a general store, cozy banquet room and a full-service restaurant specializing in fare reminiscent of the old Fish Camp days, including deep fried catfish, burgers, Bar B Q and other homestyle southern cooking. The general store is fully stocked with items such as soft drinks, beer and wine, ice, milk, eggs, sunscreen, nautical supplies and more. The Boathouse restaurant is open Thursday-Saturday from 11am to 9pm and Sunday from 11am to 7pm.
For boating and water sports enthusiasts The Boathouse features a boat ramp, community dock, marine fuel pumps, plus pontoon boat, Jet Ski, paddle board and kayak rentals. An outdoor deck near the dock is the perfect spot to grab lunch or dinner before getting back on the lake.

The Boathouse is located just outside of Harbor Club’s east gate on Walkers Church Road, a mile south of the Richland Connector. It is situated on the Richland Creek side of Lake Oconee, known for the clearest waters on the lake. By boat it is roughly three miles north of the Ritz-Carton Lodge.
Last summer The Boathouse opened 72 covered, dry storage spaces for the boats of Harbor Club property owners and those who live outside the community. Ultimately, as many as 300 boat storage spaces may be available, making The Boathouse the largest marina on Lake Oconee.
