On February 23, we'll run so that they can walk

Oconee Rotary joins the Rotary Global Swimarathon in a global one-day swim. Join us and 50,000 swimmers world-wide on February 23 to do Oconee County's part for polio and our own local causes.

The Rotary Club of Oconee County proudly joins the Global Swimarathon, hosting the Oconee/Athens event at The YWCO, 562 Research Drive, Athens 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM, February 23, 2013. We invite swimmers in the Oconee and Athens areas to take part in what will be the world’s biggest ever one-day swim, raising funds for End Polio Now and for your chosen 501(c)(3) charity.

Register your team of up to six swimmers by contacting ewaller@atclawfirm.com. Each team will nominate a local charity to benefit from that team’s participation in Swimarathon. Fifty percent of funds raised through pledges and sponsorship will be sent to the team’s chosen charity, with the remainder going to End Polio Now.

Please visit rotaryglobalswimarathon.org for information on this global event, or e-mail Eadaoin Waller at ewaller@atclawfirm.com for information on the local event and registration forms.
