Rotary BBQ - Saturday, May 4

The Rotary Club of Oconee County will hold its annual chicken barbecue May 4 at Harris Shoals Park in Watkinsville. Tickets are $10 and are available at the Athens First Bank & Trust location at Butler’s Crossing or from Rotary Club members. Pickup will be 4-6 p.m. at the park. Proceeds from the barbecue support the club’s community service projects, including building handicapped ramps, buying dictionaries for third-grade students in all Oconee County public schools, and other support for local youth and service organizations.

Plates are on the large size, with enough for leftovers..and no, we're not telling what's in our world-famous barbeque sauce!
