Walton EMC's 77th Annual Meeting Coming June 15

All you need to know about Walton EMC's 77th Annual Meeting happening Saturday, June 15.

A longstanding tradition, Walton Electric Membership Corporation's (EMC) annual meeting is coming Saturday, June 15. The event takes place at the Walton County Agricultural Education Center, 1208 Criswell Road, three miles south of Monroe. Registration and entertainment begin at 8 a.m., children's activities, health screenings and exhibits open at 9 and the business session begins at 10.

The purpose of the meeting is for the co-op's customer-owners to take part in the cooperative's business and elect fellow customer-owners to represent them on the board of directors. Attendees will also get an update on Operation Round Up, the program that pours hundreds of thousands of dollars every year into local communities.

The first 1,000 customer-owners to register will receive the just-published Walton EMC Cookbook. Those registering by 10 a.m. are also eligible for door prizes, including a recycled Ford pickup truck.
