Clarke, Jackson Counties Add COVID-19 Deaths In Thursday Report
The Northeast Health District has added 12 COVID-19 deaths in the last seven days.

Clarke County recorded another death attributed to COVID-19 in the Thursday Daily Status Report of the Department of Public Health, as did Jackson County, bringing the total number of deaths from the disease in the Northeast Health District to 232, up from 220 a week ago.
The District had added two deaths on Thursday of last week, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths remained unchanged from Wednesday at 1.7.
The Clarke County death was of a 79-year-old male with a chronic condition and brings to 38 the number of deaths in the county attributed to COVID-19.

The Jackson County death was of a 75-year-old male with a chronic condition. Jackson County now has 30 deaths attributed to the virus.
The District added 133 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Daily Status Report on Thursday, with every county in the District adding at least one case. Oconee County added 12 cases and Clarke County added 56.

The seven-day rolling average of added cases dropped from 154.1 on Wednesday to 150.1 on Thursday.
The Department of Public Health reported that 8.2 percent of the molecular tests added in Oconee County for which it had verdicts were positive on Thursday, and the seven-day rolling average of positivity rates was 8.4, up from 8.2 on Wednesday.
In Clarke County, 8.0 percent of the added molecular tests for which the Department of Public Health had verdicts were positive, the same as a week ago, and the seven-day rolling average of that statistic remained unchanged at 11.0 percent.
The Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) on Thursday reported that area hospitals had 59 COVID-19 patients, up from 58 on Wednesday, 67 ICU beds in use out of a capacity of 70, up from 64 on Wednesday, and 25 adult ventilators in use, down from 27 on Wednesday.
