The following information was gathered from Oconee County Sheriff's Office reports and highlights incidents reported between March 14-18.

Tires Punctured: A man residing at a 1000-block home on Solitaire Court reported the right tires on both of his vehicles had been punctured with an unknown object sometime between 9 p.m. on March 17 and 11:30 a.m. on March 18. Both vehicles had been parked in the driveway. The estimated cost to replace them is $350.
Boat Stolen: A 17-foot yellow and white boat with "Donzi" written on the side was taken from a residence in the 1000 block of Woodbine Drive sometime between 11:50 p.m. on March 17 and 9 a.m. on March 18. During the night, someone drilled the lock off of the trailer of his truck, unhooked the trailer, and drove away with the boat.
Mailbox Hit and Run: Residents of a 2500-block address of Dials Mill Road reported someone driving a red Ford Mustang on March 16 about 2:20 p.m. hit their mailbox and continued driving. A large piece of the car, likely a bumper, was left behind. Minutes later, a dark-colored SUV drove by and a young, white male passenger reportedly picked up the piece, placed it in the SUV, and waved to the victims. The victims were unable to see the SUV's tag. The cost of damages is estimated at $400.

Possible Scam: A woman told deputies three men came to a residence in the 1100 block of Limerick Drive on March 15 around noon and said they were owed money for tree work that had been completed. She told deputies that the homeowner paid the men $400, but she did not see that any work had been done at the residence and wanted to report the incident in case it was a scam.
Tenant Takes Furniture: The landlord of a 3700-block residence of Flat Rock Road told deputies he was in the process of evicting a tenant when the tenant moved out on March 10. The tenant reportedly took items that did not belong to him including four dining table chairs, a handmade dining table and a china cabinet collectively worth $1,620.
Prescription Meds Taken: A woman reported someone stole two prescription bottles from her North Burson Avenue home sometime during the last week. A bottle of six tablets of Percocet and another of 130 Lortab were taken.
Weapon on School Grounds: On March 14, an Oconee County High School assistant principal told deputies he believed a female student had dropped a black Browning knife while walking down the hallway. The student told deputies she didn't drop it and had never seen it before. The assistant principal and the principal said they witnessed a male student bend over and pick up the knife and, when questioned, that student reportedly said he had just found it and was going to turn it in. The student told deputies that he didn't see who dropped the knife initially. Deputies watched video surveillance and determined there was insufficient probable cause to make an arrest because of the lack of quality of the video and the large number of students in the area at the time.

Harassing Phone Calls: Mother reported her 15-year-old son had been receiving unwanted text messages that were somewhat threatening in nature. The texts were sent from a generic number originating in California and deputies were unable to identify the original sender.
