D-DAY Remembrance Program Lecture

D-Day, June 6,
1944 - To commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Allied Invasion of France, in
World War II, Oconee County Library will present a lecture by Colonel Lawrence
Saul, US Army, retired.

The presentation
will focus on the personalities, units, and actions that made this one of the
greatest battles waged by US Armed Forces.
The Liberation of Europe and the destruction of Nazi Germany would have
been impossible were it not for a successful invasion.

Come see and learn how
the USA contributed significantly to the success of what today, we call, the Longest
Day.  Come hear the details of the Band
of Brothers, find the real Private Ryan, and learn how your father’s generation
saved the world for democracy.
