Deadline to register for 2015 Success Summit extended to April 17

Takes place on Wednesday, April 29 at The Classic Center. Local businesses and nonprofit organizations are invited to register now!

ATHENS, Ga. – The deadline to register for the 2015 Success Summit, taking place on Wednesday, April 29 at The Classic Center, has been extended to Friday, April 17. Local businesses and nonprofit organizations seeking to learn, connect and be inspired are invited to register for the event.

Previously the Athens Small Business Summit, the newly rebranded Success Summit saw more than 300 attendees last year from local businesses and nonprofits. This event, organized by Athens-based business consulting firm StartStrategic, is a must-attend event for businesses of all sizes and ages.

This all-day event provides attendees with a variety of educational breakout sessions, valuable resources, experienced speakers and great networking opportunities.

A number of partner organizations, including the University of Georgia Terry College of

Business and Community Connection of Northeast Georgia, have worked alongside Success Summit organizers to produce a dynamic curriculum applicable to small businesses and nonprofit organizations alike. Session topics stay true to the Summit’s mission by promoting core business fundamentals.

A Resource Fair will take place again this year, allowing attendees to talk one-on-one with more than 50 local service-based industry representatives. Additionally, a free-to-attend Job Fair and Career Expo will be presented by the Georgia Department of Labor for all local job seekers. Vendor booths for each of these events are available for purchase.

The morning keynote will be led by Gena and Davis Knox, founders of Fire & Flavor, as well as Chris Collins, founder of Bone Dry Roofing. These two Athens success stories will detail their paths to success and provide insightful tips on how to advance businesses forward. A second keynote in the afternoon will feature a presentation by renowned entrepreneurial guru Chris Hanks. His presentation will highlight what it takes to build yourself as a brand, what it means to craft a value proposition and also give tips on how to leverage that value to make your business truly successful.
