Emergency Preparedness Fair

Emergency Preparedness Fair Saturday, September 6, 2014 9AM-1PM 1080 Julian Drive, Watkinsville, GA FREE food and fun for the family!

Are you and your family prepared for a natural disaster, financial emergency, or other crisis? Disasters will strike. Not if...but when. To help you prepare for such emergencies, Watkinsville First Christian Church and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are partnering with local emergency management agencies including Oconee County Fire and Health Departments, the American Red Cross, and Georgia Emergency Management Association (GEMA) to host an Emergency Preparedness Fair on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 9AM-1PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located near the intersection of Julian Drive and Hwy 316 in Watkinsville.

The event will feature a helicopter, fire truck, and free food! Booths and presentations on disaster and emergency situation essentials will include fire safety, amateur radio operation, emergency tools, food preservation, heat and light alternatives, Boy Scouts, record and document preservation, bug out bags, and many more! An American Red Cross Blood Donation bus will be present for blood donation. Free fun for the entire family! This event is open to all residents of northeast Georgia.
