"Different Strokes for Different Folks": Stroke Awareness Month Program

Free information outlining stroke warning signs and symptoms will be given at the program "Different Strokes for Different Folks, " part of Stroke Awareness Month. Angela McSwain, a neurologist with St. Mary's Neurological Specialists in Watkinsville, and H. McCord Smith, a certified vascular neurologist and a neurohospitalist at St. Mary's Hospital will be the featured speakers. 

They will discuss various types and causes of stroke and stroke risk factors and prevention. Free blood-pressure screenings and personal risk assessments will also be available.

The Wellness Council of Northeast Georgia and St. Mary's Health Care System are the program sponsors.
