Health District Adds 16 COVID Deaths; Rolling Average Increases
Both Oconee and Clarke counties added a confirmed death from disease.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.
- The Northeast Health District added 16 confirmed COVID-19 deaths on Friday, the second highest number ever added in a single day.
- Those deaths were in eight of the 10 counties in the District, with both Oconee and Clarke counties reporting a death.
- The seven-day rolling average of added deaths increased.
- The District added 210 new cases of the disease, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases continued to decline.
- Oconee County Schools reported an increase is the number of Active Cases of COVID-19 but a decrease in the number of quarantines.
- The number of COVID-19 patients at area hospitals declined for the fifth day in a row.
- All of the COVID-19 vaccines allocated to the state have now shipped, and 76.7 percent of the allocated vaccines have been administered.
