RE: “Changing History”

In light of recent events which challenge the validity of holding certain individuals in high esteem, I would like to weigh in, and emphatically state that I believe that anyone who has ever held slaves should be erased from history, and all monuments, flags or other written documentation representing their lives should be forever banished from our sight and minds. The following in alphabetical order, is a list of those we should begin with.

Abraham - Hebrew leader

Augustus Caesar - Roman Emperor

Christopher Columbus - Explorer

Demosthenes - Greek Philosopher

Benjamin Franklin - Inventor and Journalist

U.S. Grant - American President and General

Hannibal - Mid-Eastern Conqueror

Sam Houston - General and Hero of Texas

Pope Innocent VIII - Religious Leader

Ferdinand Magellan - Explorer

Mohammed - Religious Leader

Moses - Prophet of God

Ramses - Egyptian Leader

Solomon - Mighty King of Wisdom

George Washington - Father of our country

This is of course, only a partial list which can be added to later.
