NE District Has Drop In Average COVID-19 Cases; Four Deaths Added
The Department of Public Health reported for addition deaths at long-term care facilities in the region.
The Northeast Health District added only eight new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Department of Public Health Daily Status Report for noon on Friday, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases dropped from 23.6 to 21.3.
The 10-county Northeast Region that includes Oconee and Clarke counties added no new deaths in the Daily Status Report for the third day in a row on Friday, with the total number of deaths standing at 35.
The Department of Public Health Long-Term Care Facility Report issued late on Thursday reported four additional deaths from late Wednesday to late Thursday of residents at the 16 facilities in the Northeast Health District with COVID-19 cases.

Three of those deaths were at a personal care home in Greene County, and one was at a nursing home in Walton County.
The data in the Daily Status Report come from heath care providers and laboratories, while the separate Department of Public Health Long-Term Care Facility COVID-19 Report is based on data provided by nursing homes and personal care homes.

Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry reported no new Active COVID-19 cases in Oconee County on Friday, based on data provided to him by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency. The total number of Active Case stands at 22.
The state of Georgia added 462 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in its Daily Status Report on Friday, down from 698 on Thursday. The seven-day rolling average dropped from 746.7 to 655.4.
The Department of Public Health reported 21 previously unreported death attributed to COVID-19 with the 11:25 a.m. Daily Status Report on Friday, down from 30 reported on Thursday. The seven-day rolling average dropped from 33.1 to 30.4.
The Department of Public Health reported that 18 of those 21 deaths occurred in the last 14 days based on its current dating of deaths.
The Department of Public Health is reporting that 305 deaths have occurred in the last 14 days, down from 316 deaths that occurred during the 14 days leading up to Thursday.
