NE Health District Adds 1 COVID-19 Confirmed Case And Two Deaths
The seven-day rolling average of cases declined.
The Northeast Health District added only a single case of confirmed COVID-19 with the 1 p.m. Daily Status Report on Monday, but it added two deaths attributed to the disease, one in Barrow County and another in Walton County.
The Barrow County death was of an 80-year-old female with known chronic conditions, while the Walton County death was of a 93-year-old female with unknown chronic conditions.
The two deaths bring to 39 the number in the 10-county Northeast Health District, which includes Oconee and Clarke counties. The 39 deaths does not include at least two additional deaths in Oconee County that appear in the Department of Public Health Long-Term Care Facilities Report.

The increase of a single case of confirmed COVID-19 brings the total number of cases in the Northeast Health District to 941. The seven-day rolling average of cases at 1 p.m. on Monday was 17.1, down from 18.3 a day earlier.
Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry reported the addition of one COVID-19 Active Case in the county based on a report he received from the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA). The total number of active cases is 21.

Across the state, the Department of Public Health added 958 new cases of confirmed COVID-19 with its 1 p.m. Daily Status Report, which has replaced the noon Daily Status Report. The rolling average of added cases increased from 623.9 on Sunday to 689.1 on Monday.
The Daily Status Report added 37 new deaths, bringing the seven-day rolling average to 34.3, up from 33.0 on Sunday. Of those 37 deaths, 31 occurred in the last 14 days.
The Georgia Emergency Management Agency Situation Report COVID-19 shows that the number of critical care hospital beds in the region surrounding Oconee and Clarke counties stood at 17 on Sunday, down from 21 on May 6 (Wednesday).
The GEMA Report shows that the number of confirmed COVID-19 hospitalizations across the state has continued to decline.
