NE Health District Adds 102 COVID Cases, With 53 In Clarke County
The Department of Public Health Daily Status Report included no new deaths attributed to the disease.

Led by Clarke County, the Northeast Health District added 102 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday, pushing the seven-day rolling average of added cases to 137.1, up from 129.0 on Saturday.
The Department of Public Health listed no new deaths from COVID-19 in the Northeast Health District on Sunday, the first day since Aug. 13 that no deaths have been added with release of its Daily Status Report.
The Daily Status Report has not included the two nursing home deaths in Clarke County listed on Thursday and Friday in the Department of Community Health Long-Term Care Facility Report, which also is distributed by the Department of Public Health.

The seven-day rolling average of added deaths in the District, without including the nursing home deaths, dropped to 2.0 on Sunday from 2.3 on Saturday.
Clarke County reported 53 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday, or more than half of the cases in the 10-county District.

Oconee County reported only a single new case, as did Greene, Madison, and Oglethorpe counties.
The increase in the seven-day rolling average of cases in the Northeast Health District contrasts with the pattern for the state as a whole on Sunday, which reported a drop in the seven-day average.
The Georgia Hospital Association and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency on Sunday reported that area hospitals had 100 COVID-19 patients, down from 110 on Saturday, 58 ICU Beds In Use, down from 65 on Saturday, and 29 ventilators in use, up from 27 on Saturday.
