NE Health District Adds 11 COVID-19 Confirmed Deaths--Again

An additional five deaths were reported at long-term care facilities in the District.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Thursday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added 11 confirmed deaths from COVID-19 for the second day in a row.
  • In addition, the District added five deaths—not treated as confirmed—in long-term care facilities in the District.The Northeast Health District added 500 new cases of COVID-19.
  • The seven-day rolling averages of added deaths increased and of added cases decreased.
  • Oconee County added 35 new cases of COVID-19 and Clarke County added 110.
  • Oconee County Schools have reported at least 15 new positive tests at area schools since the summary issued last Friday.
  • The number of COVID-19 patients at area hospitals decreased slightly for the second day in a row.
