NE Health District Adds 12 COVID Deaths, 72 New Cases Of Disease

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Wednesday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added eight confirmed deaths from COVID-19 in the Department of Public Health Daily Status Report.
  • The District added an additional four deaths in the Department of Community Health Long-Term Care Facility Report.
  • The District added 72 new cases of the disease in the Department of Public Health Report.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added confirmed deaths remained unchanged, while the seven-day rolling average of added cases declined.
  • The University of Georgia reported little change in the number of positive tests for COVID-19 or in the positivity rate of tests administered.
  • Oconee County Schools reported new positive tests for COVID-19 at both of its high schools.
