NE Health District Adds 15 COVID-19 Deaths, Two In Clarke County

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Saturday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added 15 new confirmed COVID-19 deaths on Saturday.
  • Two of those were in Clarke County, which has added five confirmed COVID-19 deaths in the last three days.
  • The Northeast Health District had added 19 confirmed COVID-19 deaths last Saturday, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths declined to 8.6 on Saturday from 9.1 on Friday.
  • The Distract added 221 cases of COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases declined for the eighth day in a row.
  • The Department of Public Health reported the administration of an additional 24,565 doses of COVID-19 vaccine across the state.
  • With Saturday’s report, 73.8 percent of the vaccines shipped to the state has been administered.
