NE Health District Adds 399 COVID Cases, 11 Deaths From Disease

Nearly half of patients at area hospitals have COVID-19.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Monday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

The Northeast Health District added 399 COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths from the disease.
The seven-day rolling averages of both cases and deaths increased.
The rolling averages of added cases in both Oconee and Clarke counties increased as well.
10 of the deaths were at long-term care facilities, with two of them in Oconee County and four in Clarke County.
Oconee County Schools reported at least seven positive COVID-19 tests late Sunday and Monday.
Area hospitals added 45 COVID-19 patients, and just under half of all patients at the hospitals now have the disease.
