NE Health District Adds 625 COVID-19 Cases, One Death

Area hospitals report addition of eight COVID-19 patients.

Below is a summary of data from Thursday on COVID-19 for the Northeast Health District, which includes Oconee and Clarke counties.

The Northeast Health District added 625 new COVID-19 cases and one death from the disease on Thursday.
The seven-day rolling average of added cases reached a new record of 412.6 cases per day.
Oconee County added 56 cases, and Clarke County added 100.
The death—in Jackson County—brings to 406 the number of confirmed deaths in the District from COVID-19.
Area long-term care facilities added 10 COVID-19 Positive Residents and 10 COVID-19 Positive Staff. Adding cases were facilities in Oconee and Clarke counties.
Area hospitals added eight additional COVID-19 patients, for a new high of 246 patients with the disease.
