NE Health District Adds Eight COVID-19 Deaths, Cases Decline
The seven-day rolling average of added deaths from COVID-19 increased on Saturday, but the rolling average of added cases declined.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Saturday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.
- The Northeast Health District added eight new confirmed deaths from COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing to 45 the number of added deaths in the last seven days.
- The seven-day rolling average of added deaths increased to 6.4 deaths per day, up from 5.9 deaths per day on Friday.
- Two of the deaths were in Clarke County.
- The Northeast Health District added 470 new cases, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases declined. The seven-day rolling average of added cases has now declined three days in a row.
- The positivity rate for molecular tests also has dropped in Oconee and Clarke counties and across almost all of the counties in the Northeast Health District.
- The number of COVID-19 patients at area hospitals remained stable, with the number of ICU beds in use dropping by one and the number of ventilators in use increasing by one.
