NE Health District Adds Four COVID-19 Deaths, One In Oconee

The seven-day rolling average of added cases increased in Oconee County but decreased in Clarke County.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Thursday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added four COVID-19 confirmed deaths, with one of those in Oconee County. The county now has 60 deaths from the disease.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added deaths in the District decreased.
  • The District added 134 new cases of the disease, and the seven-day rolling average dropped.
  • Oconee County added 18 new COVID-19 cases, and Clarke County added 17. The rolling average of added cases increased in Oconee County but deceased in Clarke County.
  • Oconee County Schools continues to report new positive COVID-19 tests, concentrated at Malcom Bridge Middle School and North Oconee High School.
  • Area hospitals reported an increase of one in the number of COVID-19 patients but no change in ICU beds in use and adult ventilators in use.
