NE Health District Adds Seven COVID Deaths, Two In Clarke County

Oconee County Schools reported a drop in Active COVID-19 Cases and Active Quarantines.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

The Northeast Health District added seven deaths from COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths increased.
Two of those deaths were in Clarke County, which has added seven COVID-19 deaths in the last three days.
None of the deaths listed in the District on Friday were of a person with a chronic condition, or a comorbidity.
Oconee County added a “probable” death from the disease.
The District added 83 new cases of COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases decreased slightly.
Oconee County Schools reported a drop in Active COVID-19 Cases and Active Quarantines from the week before.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that 11.6 percent of the state’s population, and 15.1 percent of those 18 years old or older, are now vaccinated.
