NE Health District Adds Seven COVID Deaths, Two In Clarke County
Oconee County Schools reported a drop in Active COVID-19 Cases and Active Quarantines.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.
- The Northeast Health District added seven deaths from COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths increased.
- Two of those deaths were in Clarke County, which has added seven COVID-19 deaths in the last three days.
- None of the deaths listed in the District on Friday were of a person with a chronic condition, or a comorbidity.
- Oconee County added a “probable” death from the disease.
- The District added 83 new cases of COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases decreased slightly.
- Oconee County Schools reported a drop in Active COVID-19 Cases and Active Quarantines from the week before.
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that 11.6 percent of the state’s population, and 15.1 percent of those 18 years old or older, are now vaccinated.
