NE Health District Rolling Averages COVID-19 Deaths, Cases Up

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Wednesday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added 11 confirmed COVID-19 Deaths and 178 new cases of the disease.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added deaths and of added cases increased.
  • Clarke County added three confirmed COVID-19 deaths after adding two deaths on Tuesday and one on Monday.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added cases increased in both Oconee and Clarke counties.
  • The University of Georgia reported a large drop in the number of positive tests in its Wednesday update on COVID-19.
  • Wednesday was the first day since Nov. 30 when area hospitals reported fewer than 100 COVID-19 patients.
