NE Heath District Adds 79 COVID Cases, Pushing Up Rolling Average

The rolling average of added cases increased in both Clarke and Oconee counties.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Sunday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added 79 COVID-19 cases, more than double the number added on Sunday of last week.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added cases jumped sharply in the District.
  • The District added no deaths attributed to COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths was unchanged from Saturday.
  • The seven-day rolling averages of added cases increased in both Oconee and Clarke counties, and both have an average of 12.0 cases per day, despite their large difference in population.
  • The positivity rate for tests in Oconee County is nearly double that of Clarke County.
  • North Oconee High School reported a positive COVID-19 test for “an individual” at the school, the ninth reported in the last eight days.
