New Ga. House Member Asks Oconee Democrats For Support
Gonzalez told the Democrats gathered for their monthly meeting in November that they needed to provide financial support to her and Wallace.

Deborah Gonzalez, newly elected to the Georgia House of Representatives, told Oconee County Democrats last month that she and fellow Democrat Jonathan Wallace have targets on their backs.
“We know that they’re going to come back in force to get these seats back,” Gonzalez said of the Republican leadership. “We have to prove to them that this was not an anomaly–that this really is what these districts want and value.”
Gonzalez and Wallace were elected on Nov. 7 in special elections to fill vacancies in the Georgia House–Gonzalez from House District 117 and Wallace from House District 119.

Republicans planning to challenge them–as well as any Democrats–will not be restricted in their fundraising before the May party primaries and the general election next November.
