Northeast Health District Adds 14 COVID Deaths, Five In Clarke

State report indicates a widespread outbreak of the disease at area long-term care facilities.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Tuesday for Oconee and Clarke counties and the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

State reports list 14 new deaths from COVID-19, with five of them in Clarke County.
The Department of Community Health report shows widespread outbreaks of COVID-19 among long-term care facilities in the Northeast Health District.
Oconee County and Clarke County facilities are included in that outbreak.
The Department of Community Health listed 681 new COVID-19 cases in the Daily Status Report, and the seven-day rolling average dropped.
Area hospitals reported a slight drop in the number of COVID-19 patients.
Local data are not available on vaccine distribution or use, but across the state, 15,941 new vaccinations were reported Tuesday.
