Northeast Health District Adds Record Number Of COVID-19 Deaths

Clarke County had one of those deaths, and Barrow County had five.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Tuesday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

The Northeast Health District added a record 12 confirmed deaths from COVID-19 on Tuesday.
One of those deaths was in Clarke County; Barrow County added five deaths.
The seven-day rolling average of added confirmed deaths is now 7.7 deaths per day, up from 6.6 on Monday.
Oconee County recorded what the Department of Public Health calls a “probable death” from COVID-19.
The Northeast Health District added 489 new cases of COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases continued to decline.
Oconee County Schools have now reported to parents about at least 16 positive tests in the system’s schools since Friday.
