Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Wednesday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added six confirmed COVID-19 deaths and 165 cases of the disease on Wednesday.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added deaths has declined three days in a row, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases has now declined 12 days in a row.
  • The University of Georgia reported a drop in the number of positive tests for COVID-19, both locally and across the system.
  • Malcom Bridge Middle School reported two new individuals who tested positive on Wednesday.
  • The state added 49,170 vaccinations on Wednesday, and the total now is just more than 1.3 million administrations of the vaccine.
