Oconee Adds COVID-19 Death; NE Health District Cases, Deaths Fall
Oconee County Schools reported drops in Active Cases and Active Quarantines.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.
- The seven-day rolling averages of added COVID-19 cases and confirmed deaths from the disease dropped in the Northeast Health District.
- One of the added deaths was in Oconee County, which now has 56 confirmed deaths from the disease.
- The rolling averages of added cases fell in both Oconee and Clarke counties.
- Area hospitals reported drops in COVID-19 patients and ICU bed use.
- Oconee County Schools had 10 Active COVID-19 Cases and 65 Active Quarantines, down from 17 Active Cases and 86 Active Quarantines a week earlier.
- The total number of second doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered now represents 3.1 percent of the population of the Northeast Health District.
