Oconee, Clarke Counties Add COVID Deaths In Friday Health Report
Oconee County Schools report 10 Active COVID-19 Cases and 56 Active Quarantines.

The Department of Public Health on Friday listed seven deaths attributed to COVID-19 in its Daily Status Report for the 10-county Northeast Health District, including one in Oconee County and three in Clarke County.
The seven-day rolling average of added deaths from the corona virus in the Northeast Health District increased to 2.4 on Friday from 1.7 on Saturday.
In addition, the Department of Community Health on Friday, in its Long-Term Care Facility Report, listed two new deaths among the Northeast Health District’s 35 long-term care facilities with COVID among their residents and staff.

The Department of Public Health, in Friday’s Daily Status Report, listed 135 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases dropped to 142.3 from 150.1 on Thursday. The seven-day rolling average of added cases has dropped the last four days.
Every county in the Northeast Health District added two or more cases on Friday. Oconee County added six and Clarke County added 46.

The Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) on Friday reported that area hospitals had 61 COVID-19 patients, up from 59 on Thursday, 66 ICU beds in use out of a capacity of 70, down from 67 on Thursday, and 24 adult ventilators in use, down from 25 on Thursday.
Oconee County Schools on Friday, in its Weekly COVID-19 Status Report, listed 10 Active COVID-19 cases at the system’s 11 schools, the same number as the week before, and 56 Active Quarantines Due To Close Contact, up from 38 a week ago.
