Oconee Contributes Eight COVID-19 Cases; Average Up In District

The District recorded only one new death in the Monday Daily Status Report.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Monday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added 59 new COVID-19 cases, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases increased.
  • Eight of those cases were in Oconee County, which saw an increase in its seven-day rolling average of added cases.
  • Oconee County Schools reported a new positive test for COVID-19—at Oconee County High School.
  • Clarke County saw a drop in its seven-day rolling average of added cases.
  • The Northeast Health District added one death from COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths dropped just slightly.
  • Area hospitals reported a drop in COVID-19 patients, number of ICU beds in use, and number of adult ventilators in use.
