Oconee County Adds Two COVID-19 Deaths As NE District Adds 13

The seven-day rolling average of added cases increased with the addition of 547 new cases.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Thursday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

The Northeast Health District added 15 deaths from COVID-19 in state health reports on Thursday.
Two of those deaths were in Oconee County, which also added a confirmed death on Wednesday.
Thirteen of the added deaths were listed by the Department of Public Health and are considered confirmed deaths. This includes the two Oconee County deaths.
Two of the deaths were listed by the Department of Community Health.
The Northeast Health District added 547 new cases of COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases increased—for the first time in eight days.
The number of COVID-19 patients at area hospitals also increased after declining for four days.
The University of Georgia reported a drop in the number of positive tests for COVID-19 among its students, faculty, and staff.
