Oconee County Death Listed In Friday Daily Status Report

Here were the highlights of developments regarding COVID-19 in Oconee County and the Northeast Health District on Friday.

The Northeast Health District added 300 COVID-19 cases and one death on Friday.

The death was in Oconee County.

The seven-day rolling averages of both cases and deaths declined.

Holiday reporting is the likely cause of the decreases.

The number of COVID-19 patients at area hospitals increased to the highest level ever reported.

More than a third of patients at area hospitals were COVID-19 patients.

Since the final report of the school year, Oconee County Schools has added at least 15 positive tests for COVID-19.
