Oconee County: MACORTS To Hold Public Information Meetings

MACORTS has scheduled public informational meetings to provide opportunity for the public to review and comment upon a proposed amendment to the 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and FY 2021 - 2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) to include the scoping phase for the Watkinsville Truck Bypass between SR 15 and US 441.  No alignment is being proposed at this time.  Public input will be taken from September 20 – October 4, 2021. 

Due to the continuing pandemic conditions, MACORTS will hold both an in-person public meeting as well as a virtual public meeting.  The same information will be available at both meeting and will be provided on the MACORTS website for the duration of the public comment period.

IN-PERSON OPTION

The in-person meeting will be held in Oconee County at Oconee Veterans Park, Community Center located at 3500 Hog Mountain Road in Watkinsville, Georgia, from 5 pm to 7 pm on September 30, 2021.  The public information meeting will be drop-in with no formal presentation.  Staff will be available to provide information and answer questions about this amendment at the meeting.
