Oconee County Reports One COVID-19 Death, Clarke Reports Two

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Wednesday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added six confirmed COVID-19 deaths and 103 new cases of the disease.
  • One of those deaths was in Oconee County, and two were in Clarke County.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added confirmed deaths was unchanged at 2.7 from the day before.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added cases dropped sharply to 115.0 from 140.7.
  • The seven-day rolling averages of added cases dropped in Oconee and Clarke counties.
  • Area hospitals reported no change in the number of COVID-19 patients.
  • Just slightly more doses of COVID-19 vaccinations (2,568) were administered in the Northeast Health District than the day before.
