The Oconee County Board of Commissioners is seeking citizen applicants for appointments to the following:
Oconee County Planning Commission: Two appointments to start October 1, 2020 and expire September 30, 2024. Members provide recommendations regarding rezones and other pertinent land use applications to the Board of Commissioners. Meetings are the third Monday each month at 7:00 pm in the Oconee County Courthouse.
Recreation Advisory Committee: Four appointments to begin October 1, 2020 and expire September 30, 2022. Members review and discuss issues affecting the County’s Parks and Recreation facilities, activities, and formulate recommendations on significant issues. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September and November at 5:00 pm at the Oconee County Veterans Park Community Center.
Oconee County Animal Services Advisory Board: One appointment to begin immediately and expire June 30, 2021. Members advise, assist, and provide general policy oversight to the Animal Services program. Meetings are held in January, April, July, and October at a time, date, and place established by the Advisory Board.
