• Troy Latrell Cooper, 36, of Sam Cooper Road, was charged with felony theft by taking.

Dec. 10

• A 26-year-old man from Malcom Bridge Road was charged with failure to appear.
• A  34-year-old man from Cole Springs Road was arrested for child support.
• A Loganville woman, 44, was charged with failure to appear.
• A female resident of Cook Drive in Athens, age 17, was charged with theft by shoplifting.
• Johnathan Norris, 26, was arrested at a Virgil Langford Road address on warrants out of Barrow County for theft by taking and theft by receiving.

Dec. 9

• Roderick Lamont Clarke, 28, of Deer Park Drive, was charged with probation violation.
• Teri Bennett, 22, of Broad Acres in Athens, was charged with theft by deception.
• Deputies arrested an 18-year-old man from Martin Court in Athens and charged him with theft by shoplifting.
• A 22-year-old Carlton woman was charged with theft by shoplifting.

Dec. 8

• A Commerce woman, 46, was charged with giving false statements.
• A 31-year-old Watkinsville man was charged with driving on a suspended license and speeding.
• A Statham woman, 36, was charged with following too closely and another traffic violation.

Dec. 7

• Jeremy Wetzel, 24, of Clotfelter Road, was charged with child molestation stemming fromof a sexual nature and not a physical act.
• Michael Taylor Holt, 19, of Persimmon Creek Drive, was charged with felony theft by taking.
• A 39-year-old Colbert man was charged with theft by shoplifting.

Dec. 6

• Deputies made four arrests for shoplifting: A  19-year-old Bishop man, a 19-year-old man from Sycamore Drive in Athens, a 28-year-old man from Springtree Road in Athens, and an 18-year-old man from Sycamore Drive in Athens.

Dec. 5

• A 40-year-old Gainesville woman was charged with failure to appear.
• A 29-year-old man from Old Cord Mill Road in Athens was charged with family violence battery.
• A 23-year-old man from Nicholson was charged with theft by shoplifting.
